Need for Speed The Run is a thrilling mobile racing game where you need to speed from San Francisco to New York, passing different driving challenges along the way.
Like its predecessor,
You play the role of Jack - an awesome driver who has fallen out with the mob. You must complete a series of levels as you cross the USA. Although they won't win any awards for screenwriting, the cut scenes in Need for Speed The Run help to keep the story flowing and keep you engaged.
The great thing about Need for Speed The Run, as with other NFS games, is that it's not just a straight racing game. There are a whole bunch of different types of challenge you need to make: checkpoint, driver duel, sprint, speed trap and highway escape.
As you progress through the seven different locations in Need for Speed The Run, you unlock vehicles. There are seven of these to collect and each is based on a real life car. We would've liked to have seen more cars than this - there are way less than you'll find in
Aside from 'The Run' mode in Need for Speed The Run, there's also a quick race option. Here you can choose a course and a car (from those you've already unlocked) then select the type of challenge you want to play.
Need for Speed The Run looks nice and there's plenty of variety within the gameplay. A few more vehicles and a multiplayer mode, and it would have scored even higher.
